What is a typical day like at a Powell Lacrosse day camp?

At an overnight camp, what do players do at night?
After a long day of lacrosse, evenings are a great time for the players to bond and have some fun. There is an activity planned each night of the week, such as game night, movie night, etc….

Is there a camp store?
There is a fully stocked camp store at all Powell Lacrosse Camps. The store will include clothing such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, hats, stickers, etc…Our overnight camp will also have a camp store that stays open into the evening. Campers will have an option to put money into a camp accountant at check-in for use at the camp store. Snacks and beverages will be available and every camper will have the opportunity to purchase pizzas to enjoy with fellow campers at night.

What is the Powell Lacrosse cancellation/refund policy?
Since space is limited at each camp, Powell Lacrosse enforces a strict no refunds policy. However, if a medical document is provided proving the camper cannot physically participate in camp due to an injury, a credit can be issued to a future Powell Lacrosse event.

Do you have any scholarships available for Powell Lacrosse Camps?
Powell Lacrosse does offer a limited number of scholarships. If you are interested in applying please contact us at info@powelllacrosse.com and we will get an application right out to you.

What will the supervision be like at camp?
At Powell Lacrosse, we take security and safety very seriously. Campers will be supervised at all times. There will also be a trainer on staff at all times.

What are the rules at Powell Lacrosse Camps?
It is strictly forbidden to possess drugs, alcohol, tobacco or firearms while at a Powell Lacrosse Camp. Possession of any of these constitutes grounds for immediate dismissal from camp at the campers expense with no refund. We do not allow campers to leave camp grounds unless the camp director has your parent’s explicit permission . We also do not tolerate any vandalism or destruction of property. If a camper is found breaking any of these rules, they will be asked to leave immediately. We want Powell Lacrosse camps to be as safe and as fun as possible and these rules must be enforced in order to do so.

If there is an injury or an emergency, what will happen?
At all of Powell Lacrosse Camps we have an on-field certified athletic trainer who will be there at all times to handle any emergencies.

Can my child still take his prescribed medicine while at camp?
Yes, your child can still take his medication at the same times and schedule that he does at home while at lacrosse camp. If your child is on any medication, either over the counter or prescribed, you will have the opportunity during check-in to inform our trainers. Please include instructions and clearly label your child’s name on the medication.

Will I be able to contact my child while he is at camp?
Cell Phones are permitted at Powell Lacrosse Camps. There should be no problem contacting your son while at camp.

Are parent’s allowed to visit and watch while camp is in session?
Yes, parents are allowed and encouraged to come and watch their children play.

If my child is flying in to camp, can there be transportation arranged for him?
If your plans involve flying in to camp, please contact the Powell Lacrosse offices and transportation options can be arranged.

Will roommate requests be honored for an overnight camp?
Powell Lacrosse will do our best to accommodate camper roommate requests, although there are no guarantees. The earlier we receive your request, the more likely we can make it happen.

What if I don’t have any equipment? Will there be some available at camp?
Powell Lacrosse does not provide lacrosse equipment, however we wouldn’t want that situation from stopping a camper from participating. If you are in need of equipment please contact info@powellacrosse.com and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.

There is no Powell Lacrosse camp in my area, what can I do?

We have a great deal of confidence in our staff to work with players of every ability level. Our coaches take pride in developing every skill level of lacrosse player.

What is included at Powell Lacrosse Camps?
No camper walks away empty handed from a Powell Lacrosse Camp. Each camper will be given a NIKE Lacrosse Package. We will also be holding raffles and giveaways throughout the camp week featuring lacrosse gear, Powell Lacrosse Camp store items, and even some items from Ryan Powell’s own personal collection.

Does my son need a health/liability form?
Yes, a health/liability form is required. When you register online for a lacrosse camp you will be able to download the forms back to questions
Are there group discounts available?
We welcome any team or group of ten or more that wants to participate in a Powell Lacrosse event. Please email info@powelllacrosse.com with your plans and we will work with you to create a package price.

How do I know if a camp is full? Is there a wait list?
